Our stomach has hydrochloric acid.

1. It provides acidic medium that converts the inactive pepsinogen to active pepsin to act.
2. It kills the germs if present in the food.
3. It also absorbs minerals like magnesium, sodium, iron.

Hey there!

Acid secreted by stomach is known as Hydrochloric acid.

1) Acid plays an important role in digesting food.

2) It kiils the gems that come along with the food.

3) It makes the medium into acidic nature. Acidic medium is important because the enzyme pepsin is active in that medium.

Hope helped!
