Gastic gland secreted HCL acid which creat acidic medium to facilitate the action of pepsin enzyme because pepsin enzyme can only work inacidic medium.

Gastric glands are present in the walls of stomach. This release hydrochloric acids, a protein digestive enzymes called pepsin and mucus. The hydrochloric acid create an acidic medium which facilitates the action of pepsin and the mucus protect the inner lining of the stomach from acidic medium.
