what is the role of ADH in regulation of kidney function

When there is excessive loss of fluid from the body, osmoreceptors are activated which stimulate the hypothalamus to release ADH – antidiuretic hormone from neurohypophysis. ADH may also increase the blood pressure thereby increasing the glomerular blood flow.

it's is responsible for regulating the amount of water in the blood as it is released from the pituitary gland based on the signals from the hypothalamus which detect the water level of the blood
