the behavior of water from 4℃ to 0℃ is known as anomalous behavior of watein cool regions the temperature drops below freezing point but aquatic life continue as when temperature start dropping below 4℃ it's density decrease due to which it moves up and leads in the formation of ice on surface then ice acts as a insulator due to which heat get trap inside and temperature remain 4℃ even when outside temperature drops below 0℃ as a result aquatic life continue in water in region of cold climate
