With increasing demand for energy and with fast depleting conventional sources of energy such as coal, petroleum, natural gas, etc. the non-conventional sources of energy are gaining importance. This energy is abundant, renewable, pollution free and eco-friendly. Solar Energy, Tidal Energy, Wave Energy, Geothermal Energy, Wind Energy, etc. are the important non-conventional sources of energy.
some of the examples are
Solar energy: It is a natural form of energy comes from sun radiation and with the help of solar panels these energy is used to generate electric power.
Wind energy: Wind is air in motion. Wind has more amount of energy which is converted in to mechanical and electrical energy with suitable devices and these energy is used for Pumping water, grinding of corns.
Bio Mass: An organic material wood, cattle dung, sewage, agricultural wastes are burnt to form heat energy and these energy is used for future generation electricity.
Geo-thermal: These energy is obtained from hot rocks present inside the earth crust. These energy is used for generating power and creating refrigeration etc.
Hope this helps you
