What is the role of saliva in digeation of food

salivary glands are present in our mouth, which secrets a fluid called saliva ....it mixes the food and makes it smooth for swallowing.. saliva contains enzyme amalyse that breaks starch into maltose and dextrin

Saliva is secreted by salivery glands, located under tongue. it moistens the food very easy swollowing. it contains digestive enzymes called salivery amylse., which helps in break down of starch into sugar.
