THE SUN HEATS UP THE ROCKS DURING THE DAY TIME FOR THEIR EXPANDATION.AT NIGHT THESE ROCKS COOL DOWN AND EXPAND .MANY A TIME TIME THIS HAPPENS THAT ALL THE PARTS OF ROCK FO NOT EXPAND AND THESE ROCKS CONTRACT WITH EACH OTHER AND THIS RESULTS IN THE FORMATION OF CRACKS AND ULTIMATELY THE HUGE ROCKS BREAKUP INTO SMALLER PIECES.

sun plays an important role in soil formation.
During the day the time the rocks are heated up by the sun and expands. whereas in night they cool down and thus they contrast. This happens for many times and due this physical factor soil is formed
