United Nations Peacekeeping Forces closely observe areas where conflict has arisen and monitor the re-establishment of peace in the area post the conflict.

It is basically a department in the UN which is endowed with the responsibility of maintaining world-wide peace.

The forces are paid by their governments according to the ranks they hold in the peacekeeping force.

Countries are free to volunteer their soldiers to the force, remuneration to whom is given by the UN and reimbursed to the country at standard rates.
