ROLE OF WATER AND MINERALS IN PLANTS ARE :-

⃣TRANSPORTATION:Water is suitable transport medium, which causes transporatation of substances in solution from roots upward to the shoot or from leaves to other parts.

⃣PHOTOSYNTHESIS: Water is used as a raw material in the synthesis of glucose.

⃣MECHANICAL FUNCTION: Water provides tirgidity, which is necessary for the stiffness of plant tissues.

⃣TRANSPIRATION: A large quantity of water is passed out as vapour during transpiration.

⃣MAINTAINING PLANT'S TEMPERATURE: Plants can absorb radiation without any increases in temperature because water has a high specific heat.

⃣STOMATAL MOVEMENT: Water in guard cells. controls the opening and closing and closing of stomata.

⃣MINERALS: Act as builidinb blocks for many compounds synthesized by plants.
