Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) has two aspects:
1. It provides a wide convergent frame work for implementation of Elementary Education schemes.
2. It is also a programme with budget provision for strengthening vital areas to achieve universalisation of elementary education.
Sarva Shiksha Aviyan is a universal elementary education programme by the Indian government aimed to make education compulsory for kids between 6 to 14 years of age a fundamental right. It is the 86th Amendment Act of the Indian constitution pioneered by former President Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
OBJECTIVES OF SARVA SHIKSHA AVIYAN:-
They wanted every children to go to school through programmes like Education Guarantee Center, Alternate School, Back To School campaign etc by end of 2003.
2. Those children should complete five years of primary education by 2007.
3. They should complete elementary schooling by 2010.
