The scientific name of the process of taking ‘food into the body’ is ‘INGESTION’.
It is the process in which we intake the food which further digest in different parts of our body and provide energy.
The digestion process involves the intake of food with ‘digestion absorption’ and ‘assimilation’ of it. It provide energy to us as it involves the ‘conversion of complex food’ to simple food and this simple food decompose to provide energy.
