Coleoptile

1.It is the conical protective sheath which encloses the plumule in a monocot seed

2. It comes out from the soil, turns green and performs photosynthesis.

coleorhiza

1. It is the undifferentiated sheath which encloses the radicle and root cap in a monocot seed

2. It remains inside the soil and is non-green in colour.
