What is the shape of pv curve for a given mass of gas at constant temperature?

pv = nrt ( ideal gas equation)

p. = nrt/v

n is constant

r is constant

and t is also constant

then,

p = 1/v

when p is increases then v is decreases

• it is rectangular hyperbola

• so, do keep in mind that isothermal graph is not parabolic but actually hyperbolic
