what is the sign of focal point in case of concave and convex mirror and respected lens also ..???

concave lens , f=-ve

concave mirror, f=-ve

convex lens, f=+ve

convex mirror, f=+ve

mani2627: Could you please state the reasons...??!!

PoulamiBiswas: in which side you put the object that is always negative and the opposite site of the lens or mirror is positive. so if the image appears in the same side of the object it'll be negative otherwise it's positive. Same goes for the focal point.
