What is the significance of banded rows and banded columns of the table ?

The option for banding rows and columns helps in creating alternating bands of colored or shaded rows and columns.

These colored bands apply a background color to the rows and columns in which they are applied and make it easy for reading and understanding the data in an Excel worksheet when there is a lot of data in many rows and columns.

The banding of the rows and columns can be done according to one’s requirement by using the commands from “Conditional Formatting” option.
