According to the wish of Gandhiji, the Congress withdrew the Civil Disobediencein 1934. Though the movement failed but it had great significance. The movementmarked an important state in the progress of the freedom struggle.

1. gandhiji on 31 January 1930 sent to a letter to viceroy Irwin stating 11 demands as an ultimatum. it the demands were not fulfilled by 21 March the letter stated the Congress would launched a civil disobedience campaign.


2. gandhiji 's ceremonial manufacture of salt at dandi marked the beginning of the civil disobedience movement.
