DNA copying is important for reproduction. Additional copies of DNA are made during replication which is necessary for the new cells formed after cell division. DNA replication is responsible for bringing variations.

DNA replication is important because without it the new cells are produced during mitosis and Meiosis would eventually die. when cells divide DNA material is copied. the copy of DNA materials allows the process to repeat itself as they provide cells the instruction for this process.
