India is located in between East and West Asia.
It is surrounded by the Indian Ocean which connects it with Europe in the west and East Asia in the east. This helps it to initiate close contact with West Asia, Africa, Europe, Sout-East Asia and East Asia.
It has a long coastline over the Indian Ocean that gives the ocean its name.
It also has an old land route to connects it with the rest of Asia and Europe.
