Shehnai is one of the musical instrument which is very significant historically. Ustaad Bismillah Khan helped in popularizing and marking the significance of the instrument. On 15th August 1947, Ustaad Bismillah khan played it at the Red Fort. He played Shehnai when the country got its freedom. This made the instrument and its significance immortal.
