The Simile has been used in these sentences to make a comparison between joy of human life and pearls in the ocean.

Trying to find pure joy in simple things is as rare a virtue as a sea diver who has found a pearl from deep ocean.

The poet says joyful living is the necessity of all mankind.

Hughes wanted his fellow men to find better addition into the chief stream of American culture, collected with the leading white population.

He supposed that all races were equal, and rated to be treated with the same quantity of respect.

This is precisely the viewpoint that he supports in ‘I Dream a World.’
