Significance of the tile 'Journey to the end of the Earth' is described below:
This title particularly may have two significances. The first significance is that it is called journey to end as the author and the high school students went to the coldest and the driest continent named Antarctica which began 13.09° of North Equator. The author alongwith 52 high school students went there to learn about the impact or effects of global warming on Earth. The journey began from the south towards the end of Earth and hence the title is so.
Another significance of this title is that our Earth is in danger and are showing signs as if it is in the last stage. Visit to Antarctica gave a shocking information and warnings that humans are causing so much pollution that Earth and all the species living in it are in danger. This significance of the title is more appropriate.

- In 1831, a British explorer named John Ross set out to discover the furthest point in the Arctic region of Canada, which he named the North Pole.
- This journey, which many people called the “Journey to the end of the earth”, was one of the most difficult expeditions of the 19th century.
- Today, the furthest point in the Arctic is still called the North Pole, even though it is no longer the furthest point in the region.
- The name has stuck, even though the name of the point has changed many times.
