time and potential energy both are different kind of quantities......... there is nothing similar between them
but,,,,see that !! We know that :
[math]P.E. = mgh[/math]
And,
[math]s=ut+1/2at²[/math]
Considering you are dropping a body
from a height [math]h[/math] ,
[math]h=1/2gt²[/math]
Substituting [math]h[/math] ,
[math]P.E. = mg²t²/2 [/math]
In case of elastics,
[math]P.E. = 1/2kx²[/math]
Substituting [math]x[/math] as
displacement,
[math]P.E.=1/8k(at²)²[/math]
Or
[math]P.E.=1/2k(u²/2a)²[/math]
[math]P.E. = mgh[/math]
And,
