Hi
We know that slope of a straight
I,e. if ax+by+c=0
then it's slope is =-a/b

So, slope of the given line is -2/3

Method :

Any straight line in two dimensions can be represented as

        y = mx + c .....(i)

where m is the slope of the straight line.

Answer :

The given line is

    2x + 3y = - 12

    ⇒ 3y = - 2x - 12

    ⇒ y = (- 2/3) x + (- 12/3)

    ⇒ y = (- 2/3) x - 4 .....(ii)

Now, comparing (i) and (ii), we get m = - 2/3 and hence the slope of the given line is (- 2/3)
