slope of the line (m ) passing through the joining of two points (x1,y1), (x2, y2)
m=(y2 -y1)/(x2-x1)
given (x1,y1)=(-2,5); (x2,y2)=(4,9)

m=(9-5)/[4-(-2)]
=4/6
m=2/3

Hello!

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope: \frac{Y^2-Y^1}{X^2-X^1}=\frac{rise}{run}

\frac{9-5=4}{4-(-2)=4+2=6}=\frac{4}{6}

Then you can also divide by 2 both sides.

\frac{4/2}{6/2}=\frac{2}{3}

Answer: 2/3

Slope is 2/3

Hope this helps!
