Explanation:

Hawking radiation is black-body radiation that is predicted to be released by black holes, due to quantum effects near the black hole event horizon. ... Hawking radiation reduces the mass and rotational energy of black holes and is therefore also known as black hole evaporation.

Answer:

Okay this is easier than you think. A black hole is dense matter compressed so much that nothing can escape it, because physics but that’s a lesson for another day, but everything has a “schwarzschild radius” or event horizon, the Earth for example would need to be shrunk down to the size of a penny to form a black hole. There are these things called virtual particles, think of the photons in light or electrons in an atom, all leptons have their antiparticle pair, and even regular matter does but that bit is irrelevant to this. These virtual particles are weird as they don’t exist in the same way as real particles and pop in and out of existence by virtual particles colliding with the anti version of them and both are destroyed in this collision or interaction. If this happens right near the event horizon of the black hole then sometimes, the anti particle is inside the event horizon, while the other virtual particle is outside the horizon. This particle BECOMES a real particle but that goes against the idea that energy can’t be created or destroyed so the mass of the particle HAS to come from somewhere which is given to it by the mass of the black hole itself, giving some of that mass to this new particle, hence taking that little bit of mass from the black hole itself. This new particle with it’s stolen mass from the black hole IS hawking radiation.
