What is the solution set for 7x−4=3x+8 , given the replacement set {2,3,4,5} ?

7x-3x=8+4
4x=12. x=3

7x - 4 = 3x + 8

If we replace the value of x = 3, then it is the perfect solution for this question.

x = 3

⇒ (7*3) - 4 = (3*3) + 8

⇒ 21 - 4 = 9 + 8

⇒ 17 = 17
