Square of 25 is 625

Before starting let us start with some basics . Squaring a number means multiplying the number with itself .

For example :

Square of 1 = 1 × 1 = 1 .

Square of 2 = 2 × 2 = 4 .

Square of a = a × a = a² spelled as a square .

Square of 25 = 25 × 25 ⇒ 625 .

TRICK TO FIND THAT QUICKLY

Break up the digit . We break up 25 to get two digits 2 and 5 .

Now square 5 .

5 × 5 = 25 is what we get .

Now what is the number which is left ? 2 is left with us .

Multiply 2 with the next digit that is 2 + 1 = 3 .

2 × 3 = 6 .

Add 6 after 25 and we get the square !

We can do with 95 check that :

95² = ( 9 × (9+1) ) + ( 5×5 )

⇒ 95² = "( 9 × 10 )" + 25

⇒ 95² = "90" + 25 = 9025

Now dont ask how 90 + 25 = 9025 because I am using that as a string by putting quotes .

Basically just add the number before the square of 5 or 25 .
