What is the standard medium? why does India news standard medium?

it is the longitudinal extent that passes exactly from the middle of India and is taken as the standard time.

lena01: in order to have a standard or common time anong all the states of India...india needs it

lena01: as some states like Arunachal Pradesh and. gujarat have a time lag of 2 hrs...so inorder to have a standard time

We need a standard meridian for India because there is a time lag of about 2 hours between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh. To avoid confusion of time in different states , India adopted a standard meridian which is 82 degrees 30 E and it passes through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh
