What is the structure of an atom?

The atom is smallest particle which makes up matter.

Till now no scientists have seen this atom.

But some scientists had predicted its structure by experiments.

Some of them are

1. J.J. Thompson
2. Ernest Rutherford etc..

Rutherford said that the atom consists of a centrally nucleus which contains protons and neutrons. And electrons will be revolving around the nucleus . this orbits are named as energy shells.
