Constitutionally there can be 552 members in the Lok Sabha
•Out of which 530 shall represent the states
•20 members shall represent the Union Territories
•two members from the Anglo Indian community shall be nominated by the president,but if he feels that the community has not been adequately re-presented.
But at present strength of Lok Sabha is 545
•Lok Sabha is normally elected for five years.

The Lower Houses of the Parliament is called the Lok Sabha.It consists of elected representatives of the people.The Constitution originally fixed the maximum strength of Lok Sabha at 500 members.After the census of 1961,this no. was raised to 525.Again after the census of 1971,the no. was fixed at 545.The present strength of Lok Sabha is 545 members,including two representatives of the Anglo-Indian community who are nominated by the President of India.
