The house Summary.
Explanation:
Basically In this poem the poet David J. Constantine's talks about two houses. Firstly, let's talk about meaning of the Ghost. Here, the Ghost means Past. So, in this poem the poet talks about Two houses. One house in the past. And the second house is where he is living currently. Past house is something which poet has imagined that his house would be like this, like that. So, firstly the poet describes about his past house. He says that my past house is surrounded by only and only nature's beauty. There is a sea, a glass window in my room. The sun rises from the sea and the sunlight of the sun falls on my window seal. And then it comes to my bed, indicating me that the morning is back. Poet also says that in my past house there is a South wind that blows and it's kind of serenity to be their. Poet says that both the houses...i.e. the past one and the present one is different but interconnected with each other in terms of memories, ideas, faiths. And, now the poet describes about the current house. He says that there is no South wind blows here, here the north wind blows and this house is far away from the sea. This house is surrounded by hills, trees and here the sun rises from the hills not from the seas. And, the poet also mentiones about a lady. That lady can be his mother, wife or a lover it's not mentioned in the poem. But the poet says that he is holding onto a relationship now. And the things have changed. He also says that both the houses looks almost the same but they are different in terms of memories and attachments.
