What is the surface area of a piece of paper whose sides are 30x10cm and a cube whose sides are 10cm?

For the paper, the answer ends up being 300cm, and the cube with 10cm sides. It says it’s got 10cm sides. . . which would apparently be 6x10x10 and that’s 600. But the next question literally says that the surface area is the same. . .

Please help!

Answer:

area of paper is 300, area of cube is 600

Step-by-step explanation:

since paper is similar to rectangle it's area would be length×breadth=30cm×10cm=300cm²

for cube of each side 10 cm one side of the cube would have area length ² since it is similar to a square. Therefore area of each side would be 10cm×10cm=100cm² but a cube has 6 side so the total area would be 600cm²
