Square pyramid’s  surface area is 800\ cm^{2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

square pyramid’s  base perimeter is  64 cm.

square pyramid ‘s volume is 1280 cubic centimetre.

To Find:

Square pyramid’s surface area.

Formula Used:

Square  pyramid’s base perimeter = 4 p

Square  pyramid’s base area        = p^{2}

Square  pyramid’s  volume =\frac{1}{3} p^{2}  h

Square  pyramid‘s  surface area  = p^{2}  + 2\ p\ t

             t= \sqrt{h^{2} +(\frac{a}{2} )^{2} }

Where   p= square pyramid’s side  length

            h = square pyramid’s height

            t = square pyramid’s altitude of one face

Solution:

As given - square pyramid’s  base perimeter is  64 cm.

     Square pyramid’s base perimeter =4p

                                                          64=4p

                                                            p= 16\ cm

Square  pyramid’s base area    = 16^{2}

                                                    =256\ cm^{2}

As given - square pyramid ‘s volume is 1280 cubic centimetre.

Square  pyramid’s  volume  =\frac{1}{3} p^{2}  h

                                     1280=\frac{1}{3} \times 16^{2} \times h

                                           h=\frac{3\times 1280}{256}

                                            h= 15\ cm

t= \sqrt{h^{2} +(\frac{a}{2} )^{2} }

t= \sqrt{15^{2} +(\frac{16}{2} )^{2} }

t= \sqrt{15^{2} +(8 )^{2} }

t=\sqrt{289}

t=17 cm

Square  pyramid’s   surface area = 16^{2}  + 2\times 16\times17

                                                       = 256 + 544

                                                       = 800\ cm^{2}

Thus,Square  pyramid’s   surface area is 800\ cm^{2}.

Answer:

Surface area of pyramid = 800 cm²

Given data:

base perimeter of the square pyramid = 64 cm

volume of the pyramid = 1280 cm³

here we need to find surface area of the pyramid

Step-by-step explanation:

From given data

Base parimeter of a square pyramid 4a = 64 cm

                                                               a = 16 cm

given that volume of the pyramid = \frac{1}{3} a^{2} h = 1280

                                                        (16)² h = 1280(3)

                                                      256 (h) = 1280

                                                                h = 5(3)

                                                                h = 15 cm

slant height of the pyramid l = \sqrt{h^{2}  +(\frac{a}{2})^{2}  }

                                               =  \sqrt{15^{2} + 8^{2}  }

                                               =  \sqrt{225 + 64 } = √289 = 17 cm

surface area of the a square pyramid = a² + 2al

                                                              = 16²+2(16)(17) =

                                                              = 256+ 544 = 800 cm²
