Hey!

Nomenclature is the system of scientific naming of organisms in science.
These scientific names are same all over the world. This system is adopted because many people call different organism's with different names, but scientific names are permanent, and these names are only used while any research or anything.
Most used naming system is Binomial nomenclature introduced by Carolus Linnaeus, in this system genus name comes first and species names comes second.
Conventions followed - :
• Name of genus begins with a capital letter.
• Name of species should begin with a small letter.
• When printed, scientific names should be written in italics.
• When handwritten, genus name and species name should be underlined separately.

The system of scientific naming of organisms is called as nomenclature.
One of them is Bionomial Nomeclature because here, we generally assign 2 names to an organism the first one represents it's Genus and the second represents it's Specie.
As in the case of Homo sapien.
Here homo represents the Genus and Spien represents the specie.
But scientist has also developed a naming system called Trinomial nomenclature which is not normally in as much use as Bionomial Nomenclature.
The two important convention followed while giving such scientific names are:
(i) The name of Genus begins with capital letter and name of specie begins with smaller letter.
(ii) When printed they are writen in Italics and when handwritten they are underlined.
