Answer: 5 Years

Explanation:

The President of India is referred as the First Citizen Of India, which is elected for a tenure of five years as per Constitution of India.

In case there is vacancy in the office of President due to certain unavoidable circumstances like death, resignation or removal, an election has to take place as quick as possible within six months from the date of vacancy as per Article 62(2).

Till such time the Vice- President acts as the President and incase he/she is not available to offer his/her services then the  Parliament provides by law for the contingency.

Hope this helps.
