limiting friction.......suppose a body is placed on a rough surface and is gently pulled.the force which will be applied on the body but is less than the suitable forced to bring it in motion is static frictional force.

Now increasing the force a pint will come when the pulling force will be just equal to the frictional force and the body just slide.i.e. the maxima of sliding frictionthis is called the limiting frictional force
