Bubble it through lime water.
If it turns milky, it is carbon dioxide.
Oh, and I don't mean nimbu pani.
Its Ca(OH) 2

abidzai8p5qjxf: A lighted wooden splint goes out in a test tube of carbon dioxide but this happens with other gases, too. It is better to bubble the test gas through limewater - calcium hydroxide solution. Carbon dioxide turns limewater cloudy white.

the test for carbon dioxide is

take a test tube fill it with some quicklime (CaO)

and now take that test tube near your nose and breathe out the air.

u can see that the quicklime in the testube becomes milky white.

the reaction is
CaO+CO2----> CaCO3

this white precipitate formed in the rube is the formation of calcium carbonate CaCO3.

hope this helps
