Hy,

One big difference between osmosis and diffusion is that both solvent and solute particles are free to move indiffusion, but when we talk aboutosmosis, only the solvent molecules (water molecules) cross the membrane

In diffusion the solvent and solute particles can move very freely but in osmosis only the solvent molecules that are the water molecules cross the membrane.. Osmosis means movement of water or u can write this : the process by which some materials when kept in a medium like air and water spread equally throughout is called diffusion. Diffusion can also be written as the movement of particles from higher concentration to lower concentration is diffusion and Osmosis is the movement of particles moving from lets salute concentrated to more solute concentration through membrane is known as osmosis. Hope I helped you thanks
