Answer:

I am not an authorized professional regarding education: academic or vocational; however, I have received both educational counseling in college and vocational counseling at a Vocational institute; therefore, I may be able to simplify the answer a bit.

I’d say the relationship between educational guidance and vocational guidance is “communicational”. ( I might have just made up that word. lol) Anyway, what I mean is that they both provide counseling though they each specialize in two distinctly different yet relatively associative subjects: 1. education 2. vocation

In educational guidance a person is counseled regarding educational subjects, ordinarily with a goal in mind toward preparing for a career. The guidance counselor may help a student choose subjects that would be required and/or would be most helpful toward preparing the student to be able to do well in the career of his or her choice. The guidance counselor would keep in contact with the student on some regular basis or provide the means for the student to be able to meet with the counselor as soon as possible (within reason) whenever the student feels in need from the counselor expert advice or other information/ assistance in relation to the subjects that the student chose to study. (Example: perhaps the student needs the counselor to intercede for him or her regarding a problem or issue that he or she is facing with the instructor; or perhaps the student is not adjusting well to the school environment or associating with other students; or perhaps the student needs to drop or add a subject from the course he or she has chosen to follow.

In vocational guidance a person is given counseling to help him or her choose a career or job or art as a source of income or a creative interest. Counseling may be provided that will help the person know what to expect in that field of work or interest and how to prepare for it. If the person has issues (financial, personal, educational, etc.) that may make it difficult for him or her to do well in the career or art of their choice, counseling may be provided which may be helpful in resolving the problem or issue. A vocational guidance representative may help a person obtain forms/applications needed or referrals to certain authoritative persons in relation to the career, job, or art of his or her choice.

I hope the above information is helpful. Have a great experience!

Educational Guidance: In the realm of student guidance, educational guidance has taken a prominent position. It is not a new attempt by current guidance professionals. It is concerned with all aspects of education, with a focus on pupils. It is an intellectual endeavour that is primarily concerned with issues such as selecting appropriate courses for students, completing them easily, and preparing students for future vocations.

Vocational Guidance: Vocational guidance was the first to appear in the guidance movement, and it was given proper prominence. Frank Parsons, as Director of the Boston Vocational Bureau, did a lot of good work in the field. Perhaps in the future, many experts in the same sector will investigate vocational advice and its varied linked facts.
