Answer:

In "The Brook," the refrain “For men may come and men may go, / But I go on for ever” describes the poem's central idea that human life is short-lived and insignificant, while nature is powerful and enduring.

The central theme is “The Journey of a Brook” (Can be related with our journey - The Life).

Here, in this poem, personifies a brook, which shares it’s story and it’s prespectives, along it’s journey to the river.

Secondly, a common thing to be noticed is, the author refrains three lines for four times in this poem.

“..To join the brimming river,

For men may come and men may go,

But I go on for ever”

With this, we perceive that the poet says that the brook (personified brook) is sure of it’s journey, destination, and also it is certainly aware of things happening around it. (men comming and going)

We can relate and learn “life lessons” from this brook too. We must be certain about, some things, in life.

We should accept that everyone we see will leave at some point in life eventually.

We should know our ultimate destination. And be certain about reaching it, may it come pebbles in the way, blocks or whatever me must be keep mooving to reach it.

Last but not least, apart from that refrain, the author speaks much about that brook’s journey. From that, what we can relate to ourselves is, Ok, there are some hardships. Ok, some people may leave.Ok, some people may come in. Ok, i am chattering about all the useless stuffs all the way and Ok, i slip, i turn, i slide , i groan, But, i know my destination and along the way, I’ll cherish this beautiful journey that helped me reach my Destiny!
