what is the theme of the poem "My only Cry" and please explain it .
My Only Cry: Close the Arms Factories
Who are you deceiving? You ask me to speak to children,
but I shall also address you, the grown -ups. I am still a child, I don’t know how to lie like you. All the children of the world, oh adults of the world, Could not rebuild what you destroy. A better world won’t be able to be rebuilt without you, the adults You know that our cries are useless, in a deaf world. Now, my friends, let’s not talk of friendship, Peace and fellowship, these words should be spoken by adults.Enough promises. Enough waiting. Come everyone, ask them to stop making arms, to stop making wars break out, to stop telling lies. Listen, listen carefully: we are sick, you are sick; but we are here. So, in your name, we children, we ask them: “Close your arms factories and think about taming the winds.” Right-wing politics matter little to us, we are children. Left-wing politics matter little to us. Our life is essentially affection But, through your fault,a veil of dust lies over it.

In this poem ,the poet is addressing the adults. She(Leila Ibrahim Seman) talks like a child ,and asks the adults, ask from the world of politicians to stop wars, she considers herself as a child as she doesn't know how to lie, like elders. She tells the adults that they are liars because they have been teaching her values and morals of peace while they are themselves creating weapons to destroy the world. She thinks that what the others have destroyed cannot be rebuilt by children(truthful people).
The message of the poem is to stop wars and count in on agreements, that's the only way to save life and survive...
hope it helps you enough, plz mark it as

The poem "My Only Cry" has been written by Leila Ibrahim Seman." The poem is about the future of the world in the presence of the evils sown by the elders. The poet has written the poem according to the perspective of a child who finds it very disturbing that the elders are in the continuous fight with each other for power and wealth. The poet wants the elders to realize that the false promises which they have made have been clearly visible to them. She wants the disputes, wars, and problems of the world to end and the world of peace to be built.
