THEORY OF DISINFECTION. What is Disinfection & why it is done ? ? Disinfection is the process of the removal, deactivation or killing of pathogenic microorganisms. Microorganisms are destroyed or deactivated, resulting in termination of growth and reproduction such that they represent no significant risk of infection.
