The poem brings out how the cunningly crafty people in the world get by in life with minimal talent and a lot of manipulayion . The gullible may be talented but are too naive to discern the difference between criticism that is well meaning and criticism that has an agenda.Hence they fall into the trap of such manipulators and perish in the process. As long as there are people who are naive, there will also be people who use their mind to manipulate them.
