This is how it goes:

-There are in total 545 seats in Lok Sabha.

-Out of these, 2 members are nominated from the Anglo-Indian community.

-Now remain 543 seats.

-A just-majority would be attained when you have 1 more than half of the total seats on which representative are to be elected(543).

-Half of 543 is around 271. Add 1, you get 272 which is the required number to form the government.

-These can be attained either by a party of a coalition.
