What is the type of unit cell of diamond? Plz explain it!

It is ZnS type

It has Carbon atoms at each corner and also at alternate tetrahedral void

Total no. of atoms being in a diamond cubic unit cell is 1 + 3 + 4 = 8. After each carbon atom is envelope by four more carbon atoms, the coordination number is 4. The diamond unit cell is the F.C.C type with four additional C atoms tetrahedrally bonded.
