Bloodless Revolution :-

Bloodless Revolution, is also called the Revolution of 1688 or Glorious Revolution. In English history, the events of 1688-89 that resulted in the deposition of James II and the accession of his daughter Mary II and her husband , William III, Prince of Orange and Stadholder of the Netherlands. James II was overthrown by a union of English Parliamentarians with the help of William III. William's successful invasion of England with a Dutch fleet and army led to his ascension to the English throne.
King James's policies of religious tolerance after 1685 met with increasing opposition from members of leading political circles, who were troubled by the King's Catholicism and his close ties with France. In 1688-89, James II was deposed by William III and Mary II. That revolution, endangered by James's Roman Catholicism,  permanently established Parliament as the ruling power of England.
