Atomic hydrogen is the definition for H2 split into two single hydrogen atoms.

*Smile*. I think one could probably ask what couldn’t it be used for and it might be easier to answer. Elemental Hydrogen can be found in so many of the compounds we already know, pick any organic compound, you are going to find it. Most common acids would not be possible without it.

Even when we find a novel use for it like OH! It is lighter than air, we can fill up a giant bag with it and ride around hanging underneath, and boom you’re flying. Oh wait, ya that “boom” did not turn out so good for the Zeplin Hindenburg, did it. Hmm did you only want good ideas?

There has been a lot of talk lately about metallic hydrogen and some possibly amazing things which might be possible. Like superconductivity, fuels with only water as a waste, fusion may become possible using it, we just do not know what possibilities may arise, only being at the beginning of the research.
