Autofill is used to fill a particular function throughout all the rows. Eg. If youve written price of Audi car in one cell B1 and price of Alto car in B2 In the other column you've written the number of Audi cars in cell C1 and number of Alto car in cellC2 Q : you have to write the total Amount of all cars of a particular brand. In cell D1 you write the function: B1*C1 press auto fill and will get the function replicated in the next row giving you the correct answer

step to use the autofill features to fill a series

open the worksheet in which you want to enter a data series

click on the cell from which the series will start

type out the first number of the series in the cells

click on the second adjacent cell and Type II number of the series

select both cells and move the pointer at the bottom- right corner of the selected cell

drag the handle to the right or bottom till the required cell

to fill series with weekdays, types of days name in the cells and drag the autofield handles

similarly you can fill months names ,years ,date etc. in the required cells .
