what is the use of rational no. in practical life?

20 examples seem like arbitrary and high. Which makes me believe this is either the worst homework assignment I’ve seen in a long time, or an antagonistic way to convince yourself not to learn fractions (Internet strangers only gave me 19 examples! See fractions are pointless!).

It’s a weird request. Fractions are low level things. It’s like asking “Give me twenty real life applications of reading?” If you just go about your day you’re going to find a fraction the same way you’re going to find a traffic sign. Look at the back of cereal box and read the daily nutritional values. Buy some gum and note the sales tax. Listen to the news and hear a poll number.
