What is the use of soda extract in chemistry

Sodium carbonate extract aka Soda extract is prepared during qualitative analysis of anions present in the given salt mixture. Generally if the given compound is insoluble in water we prepare soda extract. Soda extract gives an expedient way of bringing all the anions of the sample into solution.
